All about Glasgow and Loch Lomond

Glasgow

Did you know, Glasgow is only a 35 minute Train ride from Sunnyide B&B.
Glasgow is a difficult and tedious  city to drive through, there are many one way streets and countless traffic lights. The best way to enter our great city is by Train. Every 30 minutes from 6am in the morning to 11pm at night, a train leaves Queens Street station for Balloch.
Why stay in the City centre with the parking restrictions, traffic and noise when you can have a peaceful stay with us and be a mere 35 minutes away from the city centre yet be only 2 minutes away from the Loch.

Glasgow airport:

We are situated 12 miles from the Airport and it only takes 20 minutes to arrive at our B&B. We can arrange transferes for you if required.

The city is packed full of attractions with lots of things to see and do.
For example the the Kelvin Hall Museum &
Glasgow Botanic Gardens

Loch Lomond

Loch lomond has many beautiful places to see and visit. Please e-mail our B&B if you would like an itinerary that will keep you busy all day. We can give you an idea for visiting the special sites of interest and local attractions Loch Lomond has to offer. From Rob Roy's Caves to the "Falls of Dochart" there is so much to see and do.
From our location, it is easily possible to travel to the following places within the space of a day: Glasgow; Edinburgh; Stirling; Oban; Fort William; Glen Coe.
It is possible to stay with us for multiple nights, with  discount, and visit all the above secure in the knowledge you have a home base to return to at night, no need to rush about to arrive at your next accommodation. We have an open house policy and you will be given two keys, one for your room and one for the front door, so you will always have twenty four hour entry and exit to your room.

Loch Lomond offers Water Skiing, Para Gliding, Loch Cruises, Sea Plane Trips, Bike Hire and many other activities.
Locally we have a number of Outlet Stores/ Galleries providing  value for money shopping.
There is also the Loch Lomond Aquarium  & Sea Life Centre  situated in the Loch lomond Shores complex.
Ben Lomond

At 974 m / 3,196 feet, is a mountain in the Scottish Highlands. Its is east of loch Lomond, is the most southerly of the Munros and is clearly visible frm our B&B.
It has easy accessibility from Loch Lomond. Together with the relative ease of ascent from Rowardennan, from where a well-trodden track runs all the way to the summit, makes it one of the most popular Munros.
The summit can also be seen from Ben Nevis, the highest peak in Britain, over 40 miles away!
